4.0 Volunteer Challenge- NBS Food Drive July 16th!

With summer vacation upon us, nearly 300,000 children who rely on free or reduced-fee meals from their school may be going home to an empty fridge.  To support Gleaner’s fill the fridge campaign, NBS will be hosting a food drive in our Troy front parking lot on Saturday, July 16th from 8am – 12pm.

Interested in supporting, but unable to participate on the 16th?  You can donate money to Gleaners on our team page-here.  Every $10 raised fills a hungry child’s fridge with enough food for 60 meals!

Help us fill an NBS truck with delicious nonperishable food for children and families in our community!

Suggested items to donate:

• Canned Vegetables
• Canned Fruit (no heavy syrup)
• Tuna Fish
• Peanut Butter
• Healthy Cereal/Oatmeal
• Hearty Soups/Stews
• Canned Spaghetti/Pasta
• Beans (black, kidney, pinto etc.)
• Canned Meats (chicken, salmon)
• Pasta, Macaroni & Cheese, Rice
• Pancake or Baking Mixes
• Baby Food or Formula
• Bottled Water

*All food donations must be nonperishable, avoid glass when possible, and everything must have a nutrition/ingredients label. This means no homemade jars etc.
