Save the Date for NBS [re]ocon 2015

For all of those who cannot attend NEOCON in Chicago or INFOCOMM in Orlando this year, we are excited to rewind, recreate and review the best of this year’s shows in our Troy showroom.

Experience the latest in corporate, education and healthcare environments as we provide the forum for 2015’s most innovative manufacturers, services and products. In addition to our vendor exhibits, we will feature an exciting and informative speaker and a networking reception to round out the day.

Apple-WatchThanks to the generosity of our vendor partners and sponsors, there will be no charge for attending this dynamic event. Special thanks to the Allor Group, who donated an Apple Watch for our grand prize drawing (details on how to enter will be provided at the event).

NBS and our partners will be holding a raffle of donated items and gift cards. Proceeds from the raffle will go to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan to help provide high-quality youth development programs, sporting activities, events and a safe haven for children from all walks of life. Please be prepared to give.

We are very excited about this event. So save the date, spread the word and register early. We look forward to seeing you for an outstanding day.

Think Better

Presented by: Katie Pace, Steelcase

Designers – 0.1 CEU; Architects – 1 LU (pending)

In workplaces around the world, scenarios of near constant distractions have become the norm. We text during meetings, skim on lunch breaks to catch up on work – always trying to process faster, handle more and work harder, often without realizing just how much we’re degrading our mental capabilities in the process. By delving into the findings of recent neurosciences research, Steelcase researchers have gained new insights into how our brains shape thoughts, emotions and behaviors, and then applied this new science to create concepts for how thoughtfully designed workplaces can mitigate distractions and prime workers to better manager attention.  This presentation will discuss how workers can better manage the full capacity of their attention, leveraging the physical environment to optimize brain performance.

Katie will be presenting “Think Better” in both a morning and afternoon session. Seating is limited, so please RSVP early.

Presentation attendees can enter to win a
