Strategic Facility Planning
Our process begins with a planning regimen that helps Facility or Operations Managers balance functional needs with their facilities. This audit can help maximize the value of a space by determining ways to improve utilization, productivity and communication among colleagues.
We review every aspect of a project to ensure it is being done according to best practices. We conduct a cost analysis and make recommendations.
After the scope and requirements are established, a project team is selected to manage a project through completion. The team starts by developing a master schedule that incorporates all stages of a project, identifies long-lead items and tracks ordered materials. The team is assigned to a project full-time and on-site as necessary to ensure that client interests are met.
Throughout construction, the project team monitors and coordinates all construction activities, facilitating shop-drawing approvals, change orders, claims and building inspections.
Sound environmental building practices are becoming more important all the time. We can help navigate the LEED certification process, and build interiors that follow individual corporate initiatives for sustainable practices.
Management and Recording Systems
The project team keeps a daily log of all project activity on- and off-site. The master schedule is integrated with the general contractor’s schedule to manage time and costs. As the project winds down, the NBS team works with the client to prepare and complete a punch list before the project is closed out.
Quality is fundamental to our culture. We insist on quality workmanship in accordance with all drawings, specifications and best construction practices. Our formal Quality Assurance Program is strictly followed and every employee is fully committed to our process.
Facility Move or Relocation Logistics
NBS can plan, manage and coordinate the relocation of machinery, equipment, furniture, phone and data systems. We are experienced in the logistical complexities of a major move and will provide the necessary personnel to ensure a smooth transition.
Sometimes an unbiased evaluation of a construction or relocation project is necessary to ensure nothing goes unnoticed. We can serve as your representative and provide an objective appraisal of your project. Even if you are working with another company, you may want a knowledgeable professional acting on your behalf.
