The holiday season is when traditions shine brightest, connecting us to our roots, our values, and the communities that shape who we are. At NBS, one tradition has become a defining part of our story for more than two decades: Rudolph to the Rescue. This long-standing commitment brings hope, joy, and support to local families and organizations during the holidays. More than an initiative, Rudolph to the Rescue reflects our shared belief in compassion, connection, and the power of coming together to brighten the season for others.
This tradition serves as a reminder that giving isn’t just something we do, it’s who we are. Each holiday season, NBS dedicates $10,000 to empower our teams to uplift causes close to their hearts, allocating $4,000 to our largest team in Southeast Michigan and $2,000 for each branch location. Over time, this tradition has allowed us to donate more than $200,000 to organizations, individuals, and families, changing lives and strengthening communities year after year.

The team also supported two local families, helping ensure their holidays are filled with warmth, comfort, and joy.

Our Great Lakes Bay Region (GLBR) team chose a cause that hits especially close to home. A team member’s spouse recently lost a cousin after a long battle with cancer, leaving behind his wife and three children. Facing the holidays amid emotional, insurance, and financial hardships, the team’s $2,000 donation was made with the hope of bringing light and reassurance during an incredibly difficult season.

It is very humbling and gratifying to be able to disperse a portion of NBS’s success to help others in need within the community. Seeing the joy and happiness that our unexpected gifts bring to others certainly sheds light on what the holiday season is truly all about.”

Our Lansing team directed their full $2,000 donation to the Ronald McDonald House, helping families stay close to their hospitalized children while receiving comfort, care, and support during some of life’s most challenging moments.

Our Toledo team continued their annual support of the Fraternal Order of Police Toledo Lodge 40. They also decorated a charitable holiday tree at Allermuir/Senator that benefits Cherry Street Mission, providing people experiencing homelessness and poverty with critical resources to help change their lives. Additionally, they donated $1,500 in hygiene and clothing items for Toledo Public Schools.
