Client Experience Coordinator – Troy, MI

NBS is looking for a Client Experience Coordinator in our Troy location. We are interested in finding the right, long-term team member who is self-directed, organized, process oriented, and has strong communication skills. This is a full-time, hybrid remote position that will require in-person training.

General Responsibilities

Work in conjunction with sales and other NBS disciplines to increase sales and meet client expectations as it relates to the products and services we provide. Interact daily with internal/external clients on quotations, order status and required follow up issues. Instrumental in ordering, procurement, and strategic coordination between NBS disciplines and/or clients and vendors.


Specific Duties

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:


Non-Order Related Duties

  • Learn and understand all NBS processes as it relates to the CEC role.
  • Maintain current and accurate client and vendor master information within our business system.
  • Reconcile and maintain order reports.
  • Assist with aspects of Accounts Receivable by maintaining current A/R reports, calling on open A/R’s and flagging “problem” A/R’s for DCE and/or CFO.
  • Answer phone calls to the CEC queue as needed.
  • Play a pro-active role in the NBS Continuous Improvement effort.
  • Participate in internal job-related training; including but not limited to, cross-training with other disciplines, technology and software training, and vendor presentations.


Order Related Duties

  • Assist sales and/or clients with NBS quotations.
  • Assist with audits and labor quotes in conjunction with project managers and/or designers.
  • Process and manage client orders and incoming service calls using proper order codes, update project folder with necessary information.
  • Maintain consistent client communication throughout the order process.
  • When necessary, coordinate and/or attend internal/external job meetings to ensure progress and communication is understood by all.
  • In conjunction with sales, customize services to exceed client expectations.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by promptly handling client inquiries and taking appropriate action.
  • Soft schedule orders to keep scheduler up to date. Work closely with NBS scheduler to assure deliveries/projects are being scheduled in a timely manner.
  • Update the business system to ensure consistent invoicing and order close out.
  • Resolve punch issues by seeking out assistance from other disciplines as required for timely resolution; update clients as required.
  • Resolve freight claims with manufacturers, LASER process on Steelcase products.
  • Process vendor credits due to NBS.
  • Process daily customer invoicing, including auditing client invoices to ensure prompt payment prior to sending out and completing the AIA billing process and required sworn statements and waivers.

NBS is looking for a Staff Accountant for the Troy, Michigan location

Junior Staff Accountant – Troy, MI

We are looking for a Junior Staff Accountant in our Troy location. You would be a part of the Accounting team that supports our five locations. This is a full-time, in-person position with the opportunity to move to a hybrid remote schedule after six months.


What You’ll Do…

  • General accounting duties including posting accounts payable, invoicing, cash receipts, data entry, and completing client and vendor documentation.
  • Maintain accuracy of our databases in multiple programs including our accounting, process management, and client management tools.
  • Assist with creating and maintaining customized reports using Excel, Power Query, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
  • Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements including providing general ledger and journal entry support.
  • Become proficient in Hedberg, our proprietary business software. Assist with implementation of new ERP solution.
  • Recommend changes in methods or procedures to improve efficiency and reduce data entry.

Hiring Audiovisual Service Technician

Audiovisual Service Technician – Troy, MI

NBS is currently looking for an Audiovisual Service Technician.  We are interested in finding the right, long-term team member who is self-directed, organized, process oriented, and has strong communication skills.

What Will You Be Doing?

This position has the overall responsibility of providing our clients with on-site service support through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs.  Some of the primary job duties of this position include:

  • Reading and interpreting electronic schematics and architectural blueprints.
  • Performing preventative maintenance to maintain a stable client-based system.
  • Cleaning various AV equipment including but not limited to camera lenses, monitors and equipment fans.
  • Completing accurate job documentation as needed.
  • Installing control programs (Extron/Crestron/Firmware) – upload and download capability.
  • Providing service support of networked devices (Routers, IP Protocols, etc.).
  • Performing service tasks that include but are not limited to pulling cable, installing connectors, mounting projectors, and hanging ceiling mounts.
  • Providing training and support for next level service technicians.
  • Providing end-user training as needed.
  • Setting up and troubleshooting various video codecs/video teleconferencing systems.
  • Cleaning the shop and all surrounding work areas.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe job site, including final clean-up.
  • Maintaining and ensuring the proper tools are available to perform all job duties.
  • Conducting basic problem solving and troubleshooting for issues that may arise during an installation or service call.
  • Providing daily field reporting to Lead Technician or AV Foreman.
  • Travelling to client sites and other NBS offices required.

 

Do You Have The Experience, Knowledge and Skills We’re Looking For?

  • Minimum of 1–3 years of audiovisual integration experience is preferred.
  • Formal education in electronics or a related field is preferred.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
  • Experience safely using hand and power tools; including the ability to solder and crimp connectors.
  • Basic computer knowledge; preferably utilizing Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Knowledge of basic signal flow for audio, video, and control.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Must be self-motivated with strong attention to detail and exhibit positive can-do attitude.
  • Must possess excellent communication, organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage projects, meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.

NBS Carpet Cleaning Technician

Carpet Cleaning Technician – Troy, MI

NBS is currently looking for a full-time Carpet Cleaning Technician in our Troy office.

Reports to: Director, Commercial Cleaning Solutions

The safety of our team members is our #1 priority.  Therefore, we have implemented numerous safety protocols related to the COVID-19 pandemic; as recommended by national and local government, and health authorities.  These protocols include:

  • Field staff are equipped with face masks, gloves, hand sanitizer and wipes.
  • NBS vehicles are equipped with the necessary disinfecting supplies.
  • Our vehicles are decontaminated/fogged on a regular basis.
  • Team members are strongly encouraged to follow the CDC guidelines for preventing the spread of the virus.

Job Duties:

  • Primarily include carpet, fabric, upholstery, and floor cleaning along with various other services provided by NBS.
  • Work hours are typically Monday-Friday between 4:00 pm to 1:00 am.
  • Must be available to work at least two Saturdays a month.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Experience driving lightweight trucks preferred.
  • No commercial cleaning experience necessary.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent customer service skills; ability to conduct client contact in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ability to meet physical demands listed below.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

This position requires physical effort and use of motor skills requiring manual dexterity. While performing the duties of this job the team member is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, push/pull, or balance weight for extended periods of time.

This position requires driving in all types of weather. While performing the duties of this job, the team member regularly operates machinery. Using proper safety procedures will eliminate any potential hazards. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Office Furniture Installer – Troy, MI

NBS is currently looking for a full-time furniture installer at our Troy location.  We are interested in finding the right, long-term team member with mechanical ability and a great attitude.  Prior experience working with Steelcase furniture is preferred.

Requirements of the job include, but are not limited to:

  • Ability to lift and carry at least 100 lbs.;
  • Willingness to work overtime when needed;
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record;
  • Must be able to pass a drug test, background check and DOT exam.

We offer a full benefit package, including medical, dental, vision, a 401(k) plan and paid time off.  Uniforms, a yearly boot allowance and tool replacement are also part of the package.

Starting hourly rate of $17 – $19, depending on experience.
