Who Are We Looking For?

NBS is currently looking for a Client Experience Coordinator. We are interested in finding the right, long-term team member who enjoys working in an organized, efficient manner and seeing projects through to completion. They like having set processes to follow while still looking for opportunities for improvement. What Will You Be Doing?

This role is instrumental in procuring products and services, along with providing strategic coordination between NBS, clients and vendors. Works in conjunction with sales and other disciplines to provide clients with an excellent experience. Interacts daily with clients and vendors collecting and providing information regarding orders. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assist salespeople, vendors, and clients with processing and managing quotes, orders, client inquiries, service calls, freight claims and warranty work.
  • Assist with obtaining audits and labor quotes from project managers and designers.
  • Provide consistent client communication throughout the order process.
  • Participate in project meetings to assist with progress and communication.
  • Assist with scheduling orders to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Update the business system for order acknowledgements, deliveries, invoicing, and final order processing.
  • Process daily client invoicing including auditing invoices to ensure accuracy.
  • Resolve outstanding product and service issues including seeking out assistance from other disciplines while keeping the client informed.
  • Learn and understand all NBS processes as it relates to the CEC role and assist in the continuous improvement effort.
  • Maintain current and accurate client and vendor master information within our business system.
  • Assist with collecting Accounts Receivable including updating collection notes, contacting clients, and working with salespeople.
  • Answer incoming company‐wide phone calls as part of a queue.
  • Participate in internal job‐related training; including but not limited to, cross‐training with other disciplines, technology and software training, and vendor presentations.

Who Are We Looking For?

NBS is currently looking for a Senior Interior Designer. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled and innovative with the ability to drive the development of creative, functional, and aesthetically compelling environments. This individual will possess a strong passion for transforming spaces through thoughtful design solutions.

What Will You Be Doing?

This role is responsible for the creation of design solutions from inception to post-installation; including the five general areas of project work: Client Programming, Schematic Design, Design Development, Specification Development, and Installation Documentation/Project Administration. This role also functions as a mentor and coach to junior design team members.

This role provides the opportunity to become a Design Team Leader with responsibilities that include managing and leading a Design team, day-to-day departmental oversight, and implementing team goals and activities.

This role requires a selling mindset, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to thrive under pressure, all while creating and delivering impactful interior solutions. Exceptional presentation skills are imperative.

Some of the primary job duties of this position include:

  • Maintaining the efficiency and organization of design projects, adhering to the proposed scope of work and hours expressed by the client proposal, and generating a change of scope authorization when necessary.
  • Working with the A&D community, NBS team members and vendor partners to provide exceptional design solutions through an integrated approach, combining Architecture, Furniture and Technology.
  • Generating accurate working documents (space plans, specifications, and installation documents) via the appropriate software; Sketch-up, CET Designer-Smart Tools, AutoCAD / CAP for interface with our business system.
  • Developing solutions that meet code/ADA requirements relative to interior space planning.
  • Maintaining and submitting timely and accurate time tracking, weekly schedules, and other required departmental documentation.
  • Submitting installation drawings and attending pre-installation meetings with the project team as applicable; obtain client sign-off on all approved drawings and finish selections.
  • Continuously looking for ways to improve service levels and communication of design concepts and presentation materials for internal and external clients.
  • Continuously sharpening design skills and increasing knowledge of products and services available within the industry.
  • Striving to participate in market/design related groups and activities (IIDA, ASID, etc.).
  • Striving to achieve industry benchmarks related to NCIDQ status or LEED certification.

Do You Have the Experience, Knowledge, and Abilities We’re Looking For?

  • BS/BA/BAA/BFA degree in Interior or Architectural Design. (CIDR ACCR.)
  • NCIDQ-completion preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of design experience, preferably in the commercial furniture industry.
  • Experience leading a team is a plus.
  • Must have proficiency in a variety of industry software-AutoCAD, CET Designer-Smart Tools, Sketchup, Microsoft Office, Procore etc.
  • Must have knowledge of ADA and building codes related to Interior Design and furniture planning.
  • Requires great attention to detail and ability to work in a deadline driven industry.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to juggle multiple projects, while taking ownership for project deliverables.

What Will You Be Doing?

This position has the overall responsibility of installing, testing, and completing small to large-scale audiovisual systems while demonstrating the utmost professionalism and client satisfaction. This position is responsible for demonstrating audiovisual best practices regarding installation, operation, control, testing, servicing, and troubleshooting of audiovisual systems. Some of the primary job duties of this position include:

  • Complete rack build-up, pull cable, and prepare equipment for installation.
  • Conduct installation of completed racks, projectors, monitors, and related sub mounts.
  • Lead testing of system components to assure system completeness and convention.
  • Follow company approved installation methods and techniques.
  • Ensure all work complies with company policies, procedures, standards, and conventions.
  • Ensure each system’s physical completeness is in accordance with installation drawings.
  • Maintain an on-going dialog with AV Foreman and Project Manager, ensuring work quality, performance, and materials meet required schedules and expectations.
  • Maintain assigned equipment inventory and assigned tools.
  • Read and interpret audiovisual system drawings, schematics, and construction plans.
  • Document system and construction drawing changes and work with Design Engineers for completion of as-builts drawings.
  • Cable management of all wires following industry standards while learning and sharing best practices.
  • Perform on-site rack fabrication when required.
  • Prepare systems for in-house job staging making all necessary connections, loading configuration files, etc.
  • Assist with cleaning the shop and all surrounding work areas.
  • Maintain and ensure the proper tools are always available to perform all job duties.

NBS is currently looking for a full-time Carpet Cleaning Technician in our Troy office.

Reports to: Director, Commercial Cleaning Solutions

The safety of our team members is our #1 priority.  Therefore, we have implemented numerous safety protocols related to the COVID-19 pandemic; as recommended by national and local government, and health authorities.  These protocols include:

  • Field staff are equipped with face masks, gloves, hand sanitizer and wipes.
  • NBS vehicles are equipped with the necessary disinfecting supplies.
  • Our vehicles are decontaminated/fogged on a regular basis.
  • Team members are strongly encouraged to follow the CDC guidelines for preventing the spread of the virus.

Job Duties:

  • Primarily include carpet, fabric, upholstery, and floor cleaning along with various other services provided by NBS.
  • Work hours are typically Monday-Friday between 4:00 pm to 1:00 am.
  • Must be available to work at least two Saturdays a month.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Loading furniture orders onto truck and delivering product to customers; completing furniture assembly/ installation as per installation specifications to meet customer expectation; inspecting furniture for proper operability according to manufacturer’s guidelines.
  • Installing all types of freestanding furniture and panel and modular systems; including placement, leveling, wipe-down, and touching-up of metal and wood furniture at customer location.
  • Completing all required furniture service/repair paperwork.
  • Removing all trash from jobsites and leaving them clean and wiped down.
  • Following all safety procedures in the performance of job duties.
  • Ensuring the overall cleanliness of the trucks and tools used by the department and being responsible for completion of annual DOT physical.
  • Interacting daily with customers, other team members, and warehouse management.
