Audiovisual Account Executive

NBS is currently looking for a full-time Audiovisual Account Executive.

This position has the overall responsibility of generating sales for the Audiovisual team by identifying and developing prospective clients and maintaining effective relationships with existing clients.  This position is responsible for maintaining an overall flow of sales consistent with assigned objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Identify sales prospects and provide accurate forecasts and activity reports to management.
  • Analyze cross-selling and up-selling opportunities ensuring that all company products and services have been thoroughly presented and the sales cycle successfully executed.
  • Exhibit a consultative sales approach to determine a customer’s visual collaboration needs.
  • Develop price quotations and bid responses that are complete, accurate, and profitable.
  • Prepare contracts and pricing strategies for targets accounts and submit all required documentation.
  • Work with the installation team to ensure a smooth transition from sale to installation.
  • Responsible for developing and executing sales plans to expand existing client base and generate new business.
  • Attend and participate in weekly office sales meetings.
  • Establish professional relationships with manufacturer sales and sales engineering personnel.
  • Actively use internal databases to complete client contact information, provide detailed notes and track pending activities.
  • Represent company at technological briefings and trade shows as assigned.
  • Participate in training and professional development activities as prescribed by management.
  • Other duties assigned as needed.

Qualifications (Education, Experience and Certifications)

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • A four-year degree is preferred
  • At least 3-5 years experience of direct selling in the AV/VTC area is a preferred

Office Furniture Installer

NBS is currently looking for a full-time furniture installer at our Troy, Michigan location.  We are interested in finding the right, long-term team member with mechanical ability and a great attitude.  Prior experience working with Steelcase furniture is preferred.

Requirements of the job include, but are not limited to: 

  • Ability to lift and carry at least 100 lbs.;
  • Willingness to work overtime when needed;
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record;
  • Must be able to pass a drug test, background check and DOT exam.

We offer a full benefit package, including medical, dental, 401(k) plan and paid time off.  Uniforms, a yearly boot allowance and tool replacement are also part of the package.

Starting hourly rate of $14 – $17, depending on experience.

NBS Construction Integrated Services Design

Construction Accounting Services Coordinator.

NBS is currently looking for a full-time Construction Accounting Services Coordinator.

This position will work in conjunction with Construction Sales and other NBS Construction disciplines to meet client expectations as it relates to the products and services we provide.  Interact daily with internal and external clients on order status and required follow up issues.  Serve as intermediary between NBS disciplines, clients and vendors.  Work in conjunction with NBS CEC’s on AIA billing and related documents to ensure prompt payment.

Additionally, this role includes the following job responsibilities and duties:

  • Work with Project Directors to create contracts for customers and suppliers; review customer provided contracts, track requirements, and complete required documentation.
  • Process client orders including entering orders in Hedberg business system, working with vendors to secure product and services, and issuing purchase orders. Manage all related documentation.
  • Communicate with clients including providing status updates on orders, promptly handling inquiries, and collecting receivables.
  • Coordinate and/or attend internal and external job meetings to ensure progress and communication is understood by all.
  • Prepare invoices including AIA documents, sworn statements, and waivers. Maintain work-in-progress project details; determine profitability of projects on all such Floorcovering/Furniture/Construction orders and projects.
  • Follow Order and Integrated Fulfillment Process for all orders and projects to help ensure client satisfaction.
  • Use of Procore PM tool on all Construction projects.
  • Review and enter job costing hours. Maintain Work In Progress.
  • Reconcile and maintain Construction reports and Hedberg order reports including Projected Billings, Cost Verified Not Invoiced and PO Printed Not Acknowledged.
  • Be pro-active in the NBS Continuous Improvement effort.
  • Maintain a positive, helpful, team attitude and encourage others to do the same.

 

The Construction Accounting Services Coordinator should be a detail-oriented self-starter.  Some requirements for the role are:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years previous Construction Industry experience required including construction accounting, revenue recognition, job costing and AIA billing process.
  • Knowledge of Procore software helpful.
  • Strong math aptitude.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills combined with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent organizational skills.

Information Technology Specialist

NBS is currently looking for a full-time Information Technology Specialist.

This position will assist in implementing effective technology strategies. They will also provide Tier-2 desktop support and assist in minor network support. We currently support approximately 185 users with technology. In addition to working in our Troy office, they will travel to our branch offices.  The right team member will enjoy working with people, be organized and process oriented, and have strong written and verbal skills.

Reports To: CFO

Job Duties:

  • Develop or enhance processes and the sharing of information throughout the company through automation solutions.
  • Provide verbal and written training on computer software and hardware including Office 365, laptops, iPads and iPhones.
  • Create and maintain network and support documentation including knowledge base articles. Help support technology throughout showrooms.
  • Actively monitor network and hardware to prevent issues.
  • Respond to user requests for software and hardware assistance.
  • Travel to each branch office at least quarterly to provide on-site support and training.
  • Create and maintain content on intranet, blog and Wiki using WordPress and SharePoint.
  • Manage contracts, support agreements and licenses.
  • Assist with other special projects as needed.

Job Requirements

Qualifications (Education, Experience and Certifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or related area or a minimum of 3 years of on-site experience with a small to mid-sized corporation troubleshooting in a Windows environment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Professional communication, organization, and project management skills.
  • Strong ethics and ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
  • The ability and enjoyment of using lean concepts to find the most efficient way to perform a process with the help of technology.
  • Ability to work independently to accomplish desired goals and objectives as well as in a team environment to solve complex technical challenges.
  • Office 365 including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneDrive, OneNote, Teams/Skype for Business, Dynamics 365, Flow, and PowerApps.
  • Ability to write or modify code in PowerShell, Python and Microsoft VBA along with performing SQL queries.
  • Knowledge of the following programs/hardware, which you will be using or supporting, will be helpful but can also be learned over time: Windows Server, SQL Server, Microsoft Remote Desktop Services, VMware, Windows 10, Active Directory, Group Policy, WordPress, DocuSign, and Duo MFA.
