What Will You Be Doing?

This position has the overall responsibility to lead and manage sales personnel to achieve sales and gross profit revenue goals.  This person is responsible for working with NBS Sales Leadership to prepare annual and quarterly sales forecasts.  They have ownership to work with the NBS Sales team to foster positive, profitable relationships with existing clients and implement strategies to secure new clients and grow and diversify the products and services we provide.  They will work with the CCO to develop short and long term NBS marketing strategies. Payroll & Benefits Administrator – Troy, MI

What Will You Be Doing?

This role is responsible for all aspects of processing payroll, administering benefits, and assisting team members with related questions. Works with management, team members and outside vendors to ensure the overall accuracy of payroll information and benefit implementation. Requires a high level of focus and accuracy while maintaining strict confidentiality regarding all aspects of payroll and benefits. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Maintaining team member personnel files, ensuring all documents are properly scanned and electronically filed so information is available as needed.
  • Preparing reports for accounting and auditing purposes and assisting with or leading the completion of payroll related audits.
  • Collaborating with and providing back-up support to the HR Generalist.
  • Assisting HR Generalist with administrative tasks related to new hires and terminations.
  • Handling special projects and assignments as requested.

 

Benefits Administration

  • Serving as primary contact for team members, plan vendors and third-party administrators.
  • Processing benefit enrollments and changes related to the health insurance, life, disability, and value-added benefit plans offered.
  • Advising team members on eligibility, plan coverage, and completion of forms.
  • Complying with the provisions of local, state, and federal programs (including IRS, OSHA, COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA) and supporting the data gathering and reporting required for filing of reports with state and federal agencies.
  • Allocating group insurance costs and processing invoices monthly.
  • Compiling and distributing materials for new hires and during annual open enrollment.
  • Communicating benefit updates and information to keep team members informed on the benefits available.

Payroll Administration

  • Coordinating and performing a variety of payroll duties in the preparation, processing and maintenance of payroll, salary, and benefit calculations to ensure that team members are paid timely and accurately.
  • Reconciling payroll to the general ledger and monthly bank statements.
  • Recording and processing federal and state payroll tax deposits.
  • Entering and maintaining team member information in the payroll system, such as pay rates, salaries, time worked, paid leave and holidays, garnishments, deductions, withholdings, address changes, and other information.
  • Providing payroll reports to managers as needed.
  • Assisting with annual 401k audit.
  • Completing annual ACA reporting through payroll system.
  • Responding to requests for employment, wage, and background check information as it relates to unemployment claims, employment verifications and client requests.
  • Responding to team member requests, questions and issues related to payroll and the HRIS system.
  • Processing and maintaining source documentation pertaining to team member data changes for entry into the HRIS/payroll system.

  • 3-5 years of experience in Payroll/Benefit Administration.
  • Experience with any Human Resources Information System (HRIS).

  • Assist salespeople, vendors, and clients with processing and managing quotes, orders, client inquiries, service calls, freight claims and warranty
  • Assist with obtaining audits and labor quotes from project managers and
  • Provide consistent client communication throughout the order
  • Participate in project meetings to assist with progress and
  • Assist with scheduling orders to ensure timely

Hiring Audiovisual Service Technician

Audiovisual Service Technician – Troy, MI

NBS is currently looking for an Audiovisual Service Technician.  We are interested in finding the right, long-term team member who is self-directed, organized, process oriented, and has strong communication skills.

What Will You Be Doing?

This position has the overall responsibility of providing our clients with on-site service support through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs.  Some of the primary job duties of this position include:

  • Reading and interpreting electronic schematics and architectural blueprints.
  • Performing preventative maintenance to maintain a stable client-based system.
  • Cleaning various AV equipment including but not limited to camera lenses, monitors and equipment fans.
  • Completing accurate job documentation as needed.
  • Installing control programs (Extron/Crestron/Firmware) – upload and download capability.
  • Providing service support of networked devices (Routers, IP Protocols, etc.).
  • Performing service tasks that include but are not limited to pulling cable, installing connectors, mounting projectors, and hanging ceiling mounts.
  • Providing training and support for next level service technicians.
  • Providing end-user training as needed.
  • Setting up and troubleshooting various video codecs/video teleconferencing systems.
  • Cleaning the shop and all surrounding work areas.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe job site, including final clean-up.
  • Maintaining and ensuring the proper tools are available to perform all job duties.

NBS Carpet Cleaning Technician

Carpet Cleaning Technician – Troy, MI

NBS is currently looking for a full-time Carpet Cleaning Technician in our Troy office.

Reports to: Director, Commercial Cleaning Solutions

The safety of our team members is our #1 priority.  Therefore, we have implemented numerous safety protocols related to the COVID-19 pandemic; as recommended by national and local government, and health authorities.  These protocols include:

  • Field staff are equipped with face masks, gloves, hand sanitizer and wipes.
  • NBS vehicles are equipped with the necessary disinfecting supplies.
  • Our vehicles are decontaminated/fogged on a regular basis.
  • Team members are strongly encouraged to follow the CDC guidelines for preventing the spread of the virus.

Job Duties:

  • Primarily include carpet, fabric, upholstery, and floor cleaning along with various other services provided by NBS.
  • Work hours are typically Monday-Friday between 4:00 pm to 1:00 am.
  • Must be available to work at least two Saturdays a month.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Office Furniture Installer – Troy, MI

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Loading furniture orders onto truck and delivering product to customers; completing furniture assembly/ installation as per installation specifications to meet customer expectation; inspecting furniture for proper operability according to manufacturer’s guidelines.
  • Installing all types of freestanding furniture and panel and modular systems; including placement, leveling, wipe-down, and touching-up of metal and wood furniture at customer location.
  • Completing all required furniture service/repair paperwork.
  • Removing all trash from jobsites and leaving them clean and wiped down.
  • Following all safety procedures in the performance of job duties.
  • Ensuring the overall cleanliness of the trucks and tools used by the department and being responsible for completion of annual DOT physical.

Office Furniture Apprentice Installer – Troy, MI

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Loading furniture orders onto truck and delivering product to customers; completing furniture assembly/ installation per instructions from Senior Installer/Crew Leader.
  • Installing all types of freestanding furniture and panel and modular systems; including placement, leveling, wipe-down, and touching-up of metal and wood furniture at customer location.
  • Removing all trash from jobsites and leaving them clean and wiped down.
  • Following all safety procedures in the performance of job duties.
  • Ensuring the overall cleanliness of the trucks and tools used by the department and being responsible for completion of annual DOT physical.
  • Interacting daily with customers, other team members, and warehouse management.
  • Performing other duties and tasks as assigned by the Director of Distribution or Senior Installer/Crew Leader.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

NBS Installer

Office Furniture Installer – Lansing, MI

NBS is currently looking for a full-time furniture installer at our Lansing location.  We are interested in finding the right, long-term team member with mechanical ability and a great attitude.  Prior experience working with Steelcase furniture is preferred.

Requirements of the job include, but are not limited to:

  • Ability to lift and carry at least 100 lbs.;
  • Willingness to work overtime when needed;
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record;
  • Must be able to pass a drug test, background check and DOT exam.

We offer a full benefit package, including medical, dental, vision, a 401(k) plan and paid time off.  Uniforms, a yearly boot allowance and tool replacement are also part of the package.

Starting hourly rate of $17 – $19, depending on experience.
