What Will You Be Doing?

This role is instrumental in procuring products and services, along with providing strategic coordination between NBS, clients and vendors. NBS is currently looking for an Architectural Products Specialist. We are seeking a motivated and dynamic sales representative to join our team and help drive business growth. What Will You Be Doing?

This position has the overall responsibility to maintain an overall flow of sales consistent with assigned gross profit objectives. This role is responsible for identifying prospective clients and/or maintaining effective relationships with existing clients. Accuracy in the development of quotations and orders for service and products is required. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

NBS is currently looking for a Field Design Specialist. We are interested in finding the right, long-term team member who is goal-oriented and driven to get things done. Please note: This is a contract-based position with an initial term of one year. Renewal will be considered on an annual basis based on the client’s requirements.

What Will You Be Doing?

This role will focus solely on the daily furniture-related needs of our client, a healthcare organization in Southeast Michigan, with potential for project assignments. This role will be responsible for assisting end users through the furniture procurement process and is expected to be on-site at the client’s Southeast Michigan (SEM) locations. This position will be a hybrid of design, sales, and project management.

This role requires a selling mindset, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to thrive under pressure, all while creating and delivering impactful interior solutions. Exceptional presentation skills are imperative. Some of the primary job functions of this position include:

  • Assist and guide the client’s SEM end users through furniture procurement process.
  • Meet with end users to gather initial information and field measure, as applicable.
  • Assist with maintaining and providing an overview of existing furniture inventory at each site and assist end users in utilizing existing furniture.
  • Research and specify furnishings, finishes, and architectural components (excluding ceilings and medical equipment) that comply with the client’s standards and are conducive to the intended purposes.
  • Generate accurate working documents for approval and order (space plans, budgets, specifications, quotes, and installation documents) using the appropriate software; Sketch-up, CET Designer-Smart Tools, AutoCAD/CAP, and the NBS business system.
  • Ensure products and solutions comply with the client’s standards, applicable building codes, ADA codes, and industry standards (such as ADA, USGBC, AIA, and NIBS).
  • Coordinate as-built furniture plans with the client.
  • Generate requisitions for the purchase of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (excluding medical equipment) and/or work with Supply Chain to process purchase orders.
  • Coordinate project needs, and execution of used or new furniture, with the client’s Planning, Design, and Construction (PDC) department, along with attending weekly calls as needed.
  • Based on project scope and size, work with appropriate team members and trades for furniture and finish related project coordination. This would include the client’s Facilities, movers, NBS Project Managers, NBS furniture installation team, the client’s Project Managers, and General Contractors.
  • Act as point of contact for furniture installations occurring on a regular scheduled days and times (Monday – Friday during normal business hours).
  • Lead post occupancy walk-throughs with end users and follow up with NBS on incomplete, incorrect, or damaged items (punch items).
  • Gather furniture and warranty information for selected products, coordinate service with NBS technicians as needed.
  • Conduct site visits to the client’s SEM locations on a regular cadence. This may vary based on daily activity and project needs.
  • Maintain and submit timely and accurate time tracking, weekly schedules, and other required NBS Design department documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal NBS team members and the client’s teams through regularly scheduled meetings to review updates on processes, communication, and align on the goals and success metrics related to the role.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Interior Design experience, with emphasis on commercial and/or healthcare furniture.

NBS is currently looking for a full-time Carpet Cleaning Technician in our Troy office.

Reports to: Director, Commercial Cleaning Solutions

The safety of our team members is our #1 priority.  Therefore, we have implemented numerous safety protocols related to the COVID-19 pandemic; as recommended by national and local government, and health authorities.  These protocols include:

  • Field staff are equipped with face masks, gloves, hand sanitizer and wipes.
  • NBS vehicles are equipped with the necessary disinfecting supplies.
  • Our vehicles are decontaminated/fogged on a regular basis.
  • Team members are strongly encouraged to follow the CDC guidelines for preventing the spread of the virus.

Job Duties:

  • Primarily include carpet, fabric, upholstery, and floor cleaning along with various other services provided by NBS.
  • Work hours are typically Monday-Friday between 4:00 pm to 1:00 am.
  • Must be available to work at least two Saturdays a month.

What Will You Be Doing?

This position has the overall responsibility of providing our clients with on-site service and support through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs. Some of the primary job duties of this position include:

  • Providing service and support of AV systems, web conferencing equipment, digital signage, sound masking, and various networked devices.
  • Responding to client service calls that involve troubleshooting issues with advanced and complex AV systems.
  • Performing service tasks that include but are not limited to pulling cable, making terminations, and mounting displays and various AV hardware.
  • Providing training and support for client end-users and other service technicians as needed.
  • Reading and interpreting electronic schematics and architectural blueprints.
  • Installing and working with control systems and programs (Extron/Crestron/Q-SYS)
  • Performing preventative maintenance tasks to ensure proper functionality and long-term stability of AV systems.
  • Cleaning various AV equipment including but not limited to camera lenses, monitors and equipment fans.

NBS is currently looking for an Architectural Designer. We are interested in finding the right, long-term team member who is self-directed, organized, process oriented, and has strong communication skills.

What Will You Be Doing?

This is a full-time on-site role for an Architectural Designer located in Troy, MI. The Architectural Designer will be involved through all phases of the project and be responsible for field measuring, as built documentation, proposing design concepts, and creating construction drawings and submission to building department municipalities for permitting. What Will You Be Doing?

This person will have experience in technical troubleshooting and problem-solving audiovisual systems with strong customer service skills. OBJECTIVE

Reports to: Director, Commercial Cleaning Solutions
