Spark New Learning – Apply Today to Transform Your Classroom

Are you an educator or know someone who is? For the third year, Steelcase Education is awarding up to fifteen schools grants valued at $65,000 (grades 6 – 12, colleges and universities) to create active learning centers.

Steelcase has partnered with educators to rethink today’s classrooms to make them more engaging, flexible and innovative through furniture and technology. Active learning allows students and educators to move freely around their environment, collaborate and integrate effortlessly with technology to enhance learning. Applying furniture that can be configured depending on the project, group size and type of learning at hand, transforms students into active participants and not just passive listeners. Active learning spaces energize the teaching experience and enable students to become more engaged, more creative and better problem solvers in today’s global and rapidly evolving economy.

Space matters, and when configured well, students and teachers can achieve more together. The Active Learning Center Grants will fund furniture, integrated technology, design, installation and post-occupancy evaluation. Applications will be accepted through February 10, 2017.
