[re]ocon 2016: Can You Dig It?

Last week our showroom was bustling with over 250 guests experiencing the latest in commercial furniture, floorcovering, textiles, AV and construction products.  Our annual [re]ocon event brings the best of NeoCon and InfoComm to our clients and industry peers.  The all day event incorporated our 40th anniversary with Steelcase and featured throwback music, food and decor.  Some of our participating vendors got in on the fun showcasing retro inspired fabrics, products and accessories….who doesn’t love a pet rock!?  The theme was contrasted by some very cool, high-tech gadgets including a virtual reality experience and crystal clear display capabilities.

In addition to the 32 vendor booths (including the Turnstone Truck!) guests had the opportunity to attend two speaker presentations.  Our keynote speaker Chad Willett discussed how we all can “smash the box” in our daily lives and increase creativity.  Steelcase’s CEU credited topic focused around their latest research on Engagement and the Global Workplace.

The day was capped off with a networking dinner reception.  Our very own DJ Kevin was spinning 70’s tracks and we brought back the photo booth for added fun!  Every year the event includes a charity raffle with a variety of donated items from our vendor partners.  This year we were honored to present Habitat for Humanity of Detroit, with whom we are currently helping complete a Detroit home, with a check for $3,482 from our raffle sales and NBS match.
