Have Peace of Mind with Proactive Decontamination Services

We know organizations have been challenged with the question as to what can be done to make their workplace safe. We also know it’s impossible to remove every risk, but there are ways to proactively make it safer. Now that many organizations have transitioned their people back to the office or are planning on bringing them back soon, adding additional safety and cleaning measures is top of mind.

Cleaning and disinfecting surfaces can effectively remove pathogens on surfaces, but studies have shown that more than half the time, surfaces that are not adequately cleaned are contaminated again within minutes. Add that to the current environment we are living in and it’s clear we need a more efficient way to limit exposure to disease causing pathogens.

Fogging alone for decontamination serves a purpose, but it only provides a zero kill for a short time. When you add periodic full decontamination along with, or in conjunction with, a safe product like Covershield that bonds to the surface, the protection lasts for months, and works 24/7 to reduce and eliminate disease causing pathogens. Now you have a solid start to actively reduce risk and help keep employees healthy in the workplace. Not every area in the building needs this type of treatment. By focusing mainly on the shared spaces, you can reduce costs and protect where the most cross contamination happens. This includes break-rooms, coffee stations, lounge areas, restrooms, stairways, elevators, etc.

Our Commercial Cleaning Solutions team has been offering decontamination services for over a decade and can create a customized sanitation plan that works for your business and budget. See below for a sample decontamination treatment program.

NBS Decontamination Proactive Program

This model shows a monthly fogging treatment, although some facility managers are opting to go with a Covershield program and only fogging as an additional measure. Both options still make a great Proactive Risk Reduction Program. We utilize EPA and CDC recommended methods and materials, and our certified commercial cleaning techs receive extensive training and wear protective personal equipment that meet strict health and safety protocols. Commonly Asked Questions:

Are cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting the same thing?

  • Cleaning removes germs, dirt and impurities from surfaces or objects with soap (or detergent) and water. Cleaning does not necessarily kill germs, but lowers their numbers and the risk of spreading infection.
  • Sanitizing lowers the number of germs on surfaces or objects to a safe level. This process can either clean or disinfect surfaces and objects to lower the risk of spreading infection.
  • Disinfecting uses chemicals (for example, EPA-registered disinfectants) to kill nearly 100% of germs on surfaces or objects. It does not necessarily clean dirty surfaces or remove germs, but by killing germs on a surface after cleaning, it can lower the risk of spreading infection.

Why should I choose NBS to disinfect my workplace? Can’t I just do it myself?

NBS BioGreen USA Window ClingNBS uses BioGreen USA solutions that include EPA registered disinfectants. It’s important to note that not all sanitizers and disinfectants are created equal. Our products are Eco and human-friendly with no harmful VOC’s, are biodegradable, non-toxic and non-corrosive, so they will not harm electronics or fabrics. Our treatments are also NSF-certified for use “in and around food processing areas” – e.g., your cafeteria – with no rinse required. Do the disinfectants used by NBS protect our people and visitors from viruses?
